Transformation

RoundTheTwistDesigns came about when I started making jewellery whilst recovering from a period of illness after having my second child.  What started as a raw need to create, quickly turned into a passion! I totally fell in love with wirework- it’s so satisfying when a piece comes together from a jumble of wire and beads into something beautiful.

It’s a great way to re-purpose and recycle old pieces too. I salvage treasures from charity shops and jumble sales and am always on the lookout for interesting pieces that I can use/rework, as well as collecting preloved jewellery locally. My boxes are also all upcycled to minimise waste.

Many of my pieces are inspired by my Christian faith and also my love of science.  I think creativity is ingrained in our nature as human beings. For me- feeding my creative side has been part of a healing journey.

I live in Hanwell, west London, and love the community here- especially the great bunch of mums who help keep me sane! There is a great community spirit and people are really supportive of local businesses. Some of my pieces can be found at #amreensgiftsandinteriors on Hanwell highstreet.
